Tony Treviño, PE & CFM

Tony Treviño is a seasoned civil engineer with more than two decades of experience designing, managing, and delivering infrastructure projects across New Mexico. A graduate of New Mexico State University with a degree in Civil Engineering Technology and a minor in Business Management, Tony’s early career included hands-on roles in surveying, subdivision design, and municipal water systems. His technical foundation spans hydrology, hydraulics, roadway and drainage design, and FEMA floodplain compliance—skills honed through positions at RMCI Inc., Blanchard Engineering, Summit Engineering, and Engineers Inc., where he led multimillion-dollar projects from concept through closeout.

Tony’s tenure with the City of Las Cruces marked a significant chapter in his career, where he advanced from Civil Engineer Senior to Engineering Administrator and ultimately Assistant Director of Public Works. In these roles, he oversaw capital improvement planning, regulatory compliance, and interagency coordination for more than $100 million in infrastructure projects. His leadership extended to FEMA CRS/NFIP and EPA MS4 programs, dam safety certifications, and the development of subdivision regulations and design standards. Tony’s ability to navigate complex funding structures and deliver public-facing solutions positioned him as a trusted municipal leader.

Throughout his career, Tony has demonstrated a commitment to operational excellence and collaborative problem-solving. He has led cross-functional teams, managed consultant contracts, and facilitated public meetings to ensure transparency and stakeholder engagement. His expertise in budgeting, policy development, and regulatory navigation has been instrumental in securing federal and state funding while maintaining compliance with evolving standards. Tony’s licensure in both New Mexico and Texas, along with his certification as a Floodplain Manager, underscores his technical credibility and regional versatility.
